Temptations

“But remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it.”

This is very apt as I struggle already not to lured into buying the third book in the Twilight series, some more Stella bamboo because I've discovered how luscious it is to work with and more fabric for another applique. Not to mention other areas of temptation.

I deal with it by avoiding the places I love to be but that's not really a solution. How else can I not give in?

Displacement activity is your friend - is there something else you can 'use' to fill the hole of temptation?

If not, I say go and buy the book!

Personally, I think everything in moderation can't be a bad thing. :o) But when it comes to books and crafting supplies, I do feel your pain on the temptation issue. ;o) Perhaps a "less is more" approach...stretching out your stash already instead of consuming it up in one big bulp each time, use the library more, etc. Balance in enjoyment and entertainments goes along with balance in all else in life too. Good luck! ((HUGS))

Oh it's hard to be supportive here, because I really enjoyed the whole series, all in a matter of days...

All tings in moderation is always best, then its not temptation but a reward for doing all the not so nice things in life. And a little me time is always good so long as you give the Lord some time too. Jane x (that was a bit deep for me!)

I feel your pain but I had all 4 books in my possession from the get-go so I bombed right through them. The third book is much better than the second. (Not that that was intended to weaken your resolve or anything :)
Oh, and then I went and saw the movie.
Weak much?
