How I spent my holidays

Using my lovely sewing machine to complete an owl applique wall hanging I got for my birthday and to make clothes for a Baby Born boy. All very well but given my limited ability to sew and the lack of a pattern it was all a little challenging and something I wish Santa had thought long and hard about before delivering the aforementioned to our house.

Supervising and controlling, badly my four children.

and when it all got too much lying in my hammock hoping they would all simply go away

I heard (years later) that my older children tied my youngest to a chair and put her in a closet to keep her from running out the front door. I figure they all lived.

It looks like you deserved that long lie in the hammock!

Oh I like the look of the parcel tape round the body and legs. I might try that ;-)

I'm sure your makes will be wonderful - can we see the wallhanging when it's finished? I think Baby Born looks fabulous.

I can look forward to putting our hammock back out... The Knight and his brother (as adults)still employ packing tape in their "playtime" together. Boys never really grow up...

Looks normal to me. I can remember in my childhood somethings we did that would have made my mum shake her head. Now as a mum my kids have done somethings that make me shake my head. Kids will be kids. What I want is a hammock to take a nap. Hummmmm mothers day isn't too far away. Have a great day!

If you close your eyes really tight it helps you not hear them.

Must try the tape ...

Aw, hang in there Mrs. Born. The more you sew, the better you'll get. That doll outfit looks great to me!

Maybe you could tie the kids into the hammock!! The knitting looks good, I look forward to seeing it finished.

Oh my goodness! We did that kind of stuff as kids. My mom just shakes her head when mention of crazy things of that nature are brought up again. The jammies turned out really well - good job. Not sure I could manage something like that. Sewing is not my strong point.
