I'm so excited

I did it....somehow I have survived the dreadful, terrible, awful yarn diet. I don't know how I did it, it was tough, temptation was every where, on the net, in the street. So many places to avoid and yet here I am at the end. I feel good. My stash is considerably lighter. Over 8 kgs of wool was knitted from stash. When I actually convert that into balls of wool even I'm staggered that I should have accumulated so much. Of course my first thought is to go out and celebrate by going slightly crazy in a yarn shop but then that would defeat the purpose of the diet and leave me seriously crippled financially. So instead I'm going to bask in my strong self will and determination knowing that I can buy now if I want to. I just don't want to....until pay day!

Hurray for you! I'm still working through my stash but the sweater I'm knitting right now is using up most of one kind. And then there's the crochet afghan that's eating up a bunch. Your success has encouraged me.

Good for you! 8 kg is impressive. Really motivates me to keep on knitting my stash. I've a long way to go to knit it all up, but at least I've stopped stashing up yarn. I had a narrow escape today when I was at the yarn shop, it's a dangerous place :)

Great job! I love yarn! I have yet to fall into the collecting yarn just to be buying yarn. I only buy if I know what I am going to knit with it. My only stash is a skein here and there left over from a project. I think I am too obsessive. Stay strong!

What a great feeling! I'm also trying to work through some older projects and it's a slog, I can tell you. Can't wait to see what you splurge on!
