Home again

Back in New Zealand in body if not yet fully in mind or spirit. Bloggy Friends I am sad to say that I lost my heart to the Philippines and now suddenly everything here seems less than before. I made so many wonderful friends over there and had so many good times that it felt like a year instead of a month. I cried so hard at the airport, much more than I cried when I left the UK for NZ. My emotions are all over the place right now. Still I did go to social knitting and normal knitting reports will be transmitted once the tear ducts stop leaking. Don't want to electrocute myself or fry the yarn.

Oh poor you. I certainly know those feelings of displacement.

How ironic... I have US relatives in NZ for a wedding who are already planning their next trip back there...

How well I know those feelings of the heart lost to another place. Still miss it somedays.

Hopefully you will feel more settled in a few days. Get some extra rest and relaxation. Pamper yourself a bit. I'm sure everyone around you is happy to have you back. Your heart will catch up eventually!

Welcome home Alison. Don't beat yourself up about how you feel ... we feel what we feel. There's no logic to it.

Maybe Life is telling you something?

Welcome home!
Could be your emotions are venting and releasing more than the feelings of displacement? Serious crying jags are exhausting, but a relief when they're done. Hope your spirits lift soon. {{Hugs}}

Welcome back, I am so glad that you enjoyed yourself but it does indeed make it so hard to leave when it is time to come home.
I am sure after a few days it won't feel quite so bad, and you can always go again for a visit.

Glad to hear you are safely back. Fish out a book and the knitting and give your brain a chance to resettle.

Welcome back! I also find it hard to settle back into a normal routine after a wonderful time away ~ but you quickly rediscovery your favorite routines at home again!

Hi, Ally, and welcome home! Let the tears flow, let your heart and mind go all over the place...You are not alone with such feeling, as us transplanted souls understand. Sometimes we encounter a heart-home in the least expected places or times, sometimes we find heart-people that way too. But it is hard finding one's place again after a big trip, long travel...Take the time you need to rejuvenate. :o) ((HUGS))

Hope home will feel like home to you soon. It is really hard to come back from somewhere you love and get back into 'life'.
